As a therapist, I work with you as a unique individual, or couple, to clarify your reasons for seeking therapy and your goals for change. Working together to explore the roots of your problems is an emotional experience, and I am sensitive and practical in my approach.
Our sessions are conducted in a confidential, comfortable, and safe office setting. Typically, in psychodynamic psychotherapy there is a two-way flow of talking and listening. But our focus is on you – your feelings, thoughts, dreams, and actions.
My style is responsive, curious, and understanding. I provide an environment based on trust and reliability. I bring a lifelong love of learning to my 30 years of experience and am respectful of different points of view. My family background, my sense of humor, my love of the outdoors, my creativity, and my daily yoga practice all contribute to the person and therapist I am.
